Be very careful what you ignore and push aside all in the name of spiritual maturity and respect for the pastor/preacher. Before you decide to discount that nagging doubt within that he or she is speaking truth, go and check your bible. Dont just dismiss it and start twisting scripture with whoever believeth the word of a prophet, touch not my anointed and all other such things. Be very careful. One problem we have is that we dont understand that the pastor does not have more of the Spirit of God than we do. If we understood this simple reality, a lot of the idol worship going on today in churches will not be happening. But we dont. So no one holds them accountable for anything or bothers to check the scriptures if they are true. Let me tell you now, and please feel free to quote me anywhere, if a preacher or pastor gets angry for being asked if he is right, told that they dont agree with him or asked to show clearly what he is saying, you need to have a good think about that dude. He is either not saved or has become so full of himself, he thinks he is THE authority on all things scripture and truth. Someone who is truly led of God can get tired, frustrated and even angry but, it wont be because he was asked questions or told no one agreed with him. That makes no sense. Are we not to be sharing and studying together? Are our gifts and calling not to benefit the Church? Even Jesus was asked to clarify things and he did, so why wont the so-called man of God? Be very careful people. These days are revealing so many fakes and liars out there. Dont let yourself be led astray. If youre feeling uncomfortable inside, ask questions and pray. You should even be doing that without being provoked inside but, at those specific moments, check the scriptures. God might just be trying to save you from imbibing something dangerous. The amount of years in ministry, his standing in the international community of Christians and the number of miracles, a man has performed does not make everything he does right. Dont just sweep it aside and say, oh I dont get it because hes probably more spiritually gifted and mature than I am, thats why I do not get it! See ehn, I am not saying dont respect him but, he is not greater than you. All of us, regardless of position and gender are equal before God oh! Yes, Onuora the heretic has started again. Lol! While he MAY be more mature than you spiritually, how can everything he says be something you cannot grasp or mostly do not? What then have you been doing with your own spiritual life that you cannot get a single thing? Is that not a cause for concern? Before someone twists this; I did not say abuse and attack your leaders. I am simply saying, learn to look into your bible and ask questions when you have concerns and, even when you dont. If you dont, then what exactly are you doing with that bible? #ListenLearnGrow
