Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have - TopicsExpress

Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Fogive as the Lord forgave you. (Colossians 3:13) We all have little quirks in our makeup that may cause irritation to others, such as cracking gum, twirling our hair, or jingling the change in our pockets. Such small things, yet often they are blown out of proportion. They are often used as a guise when there is something more that actually causes the irritation. In reality, we often disguise the grudges we have against one another. This is deceitful to them, and to us as well. If we have an issue, we need to first identify it for what it its, why it is, and what to do about it. Obviously, if it is a very small infraction on the part of another, and it has not caused harm, we need to recognize it for what it is...a ploy from satan to cause division. And then we need to confess it to God, and move on. But if it is an issue that truly stands in the way of fellowship and working in unity, it must be addressed. Take it to the Lord first, and then speak to the person. Do it in love, with great care and kindness. Simply state how you perceive their action or behavior, and then allow them to respond. The person may have no idea that they even did anything. Or they may reveal that they have an issue with you. Discuss it, deal with it, forgive one another. Do not walk away without full confession and true forgiveness. There cannot be true unity without truth. Brothers and sisters in Christ have unique relationships, and they are to be valued and cared for. When there is strife, and its not dealt with, those relationships suffer. And because of Jesus forgiveness to each of us, it need not be that way. Love one another, in truth. We are all the better for it, and God is glorified because of it. Blessings!
