Paula Priesse -- May 25th Three headlines: 1) CBS News: “Seven dead from shooting spree near University of California, Santa Barbara” 2) NBC News: “Gunman Kills At least Six in UC Santa Barbara Shooting Spree” 3) LA Times: “7 dead in drive-by shootings near UC Santa Barbara” A far more accurate headline would be this: “7 dead in CA killing spree” Far more accurate since Elliott Rodger stabbed his first three victims to death. Is it asking too much for the media to just report the facts? We don’t have journalism anymore, just political advocacy. Elliott Rodger was the son of “Hunger Games” asst. director Paul Rodger. The family issued a statement afterwards of being anti-guns and for gun control. No mention though of the need for knife control. What Hollywood libs will never get is that nutcases will always find ways to kill, and armed citizens can help stop or prevent tragedies from becoming even more tragic. As for Paul Rodger’s call for greater “gun control” … well DAD, how ‘bout greater parental control? Good chance that’s what really could have saved lives. P
