Final note on the Centurions: The Centurions are simply a Google group to facilitate email communication between alumni. There are close to 1,000 members of the group, and listing all persons here would not be practical. This group and others like it, such as the Sounding Board and You Know You Went..., would not need to exist if there were existing communication channels. I value the opinions of these and other fellow alumni who are passionate about our college, and I keep an open mind because shutting people out of the conversation is the last thing we should do. A successful effort of note, The Centurions started a letter writing campaign to the SC legislature for the purposes of advancing Stanley Myers to the BOV. He now represents us as the first African American ever selected by the SC legislature to a BOV 6 year position.
