Beautiful day kayaking today!!! The water, although a bit dirty from all the rain, was as flat as glass - easy paddling on a very low tide that was just on the turn running back in. On the way, Tanya and I sat and watched two sea eagles resting in trees over at Limeburners NR. About 200 meters from the S/point ferry we couldnt believe our eyes when a pod of dolphins was heading straight for us!!! Wow.....breathtaking as they passed on my left side about a foot away.....I put my hand down into the water as they submerged but they were a bit too deep.....but I was able to watch as they glided by......as we paddled to the head of the island and down into the back channel we came across another sea eagle.......what a brilliant morning. A quick coffee and we strolled along the boardwalk watching more dolphins!!!
