Beauty... Why are we, women, girls, the most critical of ourselves? Sadly, it doesnt matter how young or old we are. We are so programmed by societal expectations of beauty that we never seem to be enough! So I challenge myself and I challenge all my women friends out there... Take a selfie, without any filters or enhancements and post it as your profile picture. You can start by leaving it up there for a couple of hours but I encourage you to leave it up there for a few days! Let yourself be seen!!! I promise you you are beautiful just as you are! Ive started with mine! So my inner critic hates my hair all wavy and curly, especially from the front. And my face tends to look swollen first thing in the morning. Oh and my nose is too wide. And the dark circles under my eyes I forever am trying to cover up with concealer. But Im challenging myself to see that I am beautiful with all my imperfections and flaws. In fact thats exactly what makes me unique and beautiful. Whew!!! I did it!!! And I bet you probably didnt even notice my so called flaws. Now its your turn!!!!
