Because of the Messi-Ronaldo debates we shall run the risk of not fully utilising the gift that has been given to us of enjoyin the greatest football players to play in our generation. I personally believe, the idea of preferential between the two is a mere subconscious feeling of liking the one who represents the character one likes most. Yes, character over the issue to do with who is the best. Because, one easily connects with an icon who is pompous, self loving, confident and extrovert, that person will tend to like Ronaldo over Messi and likewise, if one connects with an introvert , quiet character he/she will glorify Messi. Its these differentials that cloud our judgement and bring about silly arguments and remarks. One thing for a fact is Every messi fan deep down knoweth Christiano is a great player, and every ronaldo fan deep down knows Messi is a great player. No matter how much you ridicule messi, he will always do something special, and the same with Cr7. Its not a rule that love one hate the other. Rather love one, respect the other. Lets enjoy these two lads whilst we have the opportunity to later brag in hindsight to later generations. #teammessi
