Becoming was taken down early this year so Xaviere could rework the file to make it more compatible with todays technology--its over 5 years and was designed to be read on computers only. We also added the 16 pages of extras that were previously only available in the long sold-out limited Subterranean Press edition. Being in PDF means its still best read on a computer, but it has been reformatted to make it easy to read on any portable device that allows zooming, such as iPhones and iPads. Most dedicated e-readers are not yet graphic-novel friendly, so despite our research, we havent been able to make it work for other formats yet. We are testing a print version, but Ill warn that if it works out to our satisfaction, itll be at least 3x the price of the e-version. Printing full colour art is a LOT more expensive than printing text. And whenever I mention Becoming (or Bounty Hunt) Im asked when Ill put these in prose form for those who dont read graphic stories. The answer, unfortunately, is never. I know many readers dont read graphic novels, but when I decide on a format, I choose the one that will best serve the story rather than the one that will be most profitable :) For these two novellas, graphic format was the only one I could imagine.
