Been mulling this over all day, and I have seen quite a few posts over the last few days that have really made me think hard about how I feel about this mess of a country we have. Hobby Lobby and the like...really...if we all knew the inner workings and such of all the companies we make profitable - from the food we eat to the underwear we put on our tushes - wed never want to give any of them a dime. Wed be living in the woods eating grass - or isnt that free anymore! No not one of of them are perfect or without blame. If you dont like their ideology, then dont shop there - theres a craft store, chicken place and book store in just about every town! Be grateful you live in a country where you have a choice! Religions...oh good grief...for those of you that know me, know that I am a Christian and not afraid to say so. I have friends that are not. While I would love to see all those that I love and care about know Christ the way that my family and I do, I also know that I have been taught to have respect for other human beings. Most of my friends that do not agree with my convictions have enough respect to know that they are important to me. However, I have had conversations that have surprised me and saddened me with people that just dont care. Respect is gone in this country and pride has taken over. For my family and I, we will continue to live our lives as examples of what Christ has taught us - possibly offending a few people along the way - but steadfast. What has happened? Where have morals and dignity gone? When did making a perfect stranger happy by your actions become not acceptable? When did earning your way and working hard become taboo? Where did we lose our way?
