Been to partridge today drew the same peg 18 as tuesday where i managed a poor 40lb wind has turned though and with the extra water thats gone in i didnt know what to expect tbh, anyway what a difference a few days can make ended up with 88 fish on pellets across and down the side for 160lb which is my best weight on the deck on there as all the big weights normally come shallow, it was only good enough for 3rd overall also, lee thornton won with 170lb plus from peg 42 on paste shallow, well done to him and baz bush had 162lb on maggots shallow to just pip me, its fished really well with the top 6 all having im excess of 130lb. In hindsight i probably dropped a clanger by not taking maggots to my peg as i thought 70-100lb would be a decent weight and im sure if i would of fished shallow the peg was worth more. Still with 37 on the match its 1 more preston point which will hopefully keep me in the lead for the weekend, day off tomorrow to get a bit of prep done for the lindholme festival next week where ill try to keep you posted daily. Also a big well done to the England feeder team who have had an awesome 11pt score on the first day of the world champs in Ireland hopefully they can draw on enough fish tomorrow to bring home the gold so good luck to them.
