Before 2011 , lot of people including me became desperate to get rid of then ruling left front. There was no alternate positive force in the state . So we supported the only other strong party , TMC . The result is visible everywhere . But the worse part was , a large section of people who participated in the independent civil society movement , deserted the camp and started en-cashing their position. Bengal is entering a similar phase again. People are desperate to get rid of the criminal gang in the power without any positive alternative in the ground. BJP is hiring criminals and media houses at faster pace than TMC of 2009 ( money is never an issue for this organization). Old rulers are also trying to come back but with their average 60 + age group cadres who have spent their life in ensuring govt job for their relatives and children or collecting hapta from promoters/ autowallas , might find it too difficult. So what is the solution ? I dont know but only silver line to me is , Independent civil society /students have again started raising their voice. And to me , only independent movement for human rights , democracy , secularism, womens right , inclusive growth model can provide some checks and balance in the society . Easy solution wont work and we will keep on bringing kan kata in place nak kata , then look for hath kata and finally settle for sab kata.
