Before I go to sleep and finish my last two days of shooting on - TopicsExpress

Before I go to sleep and finish my last two days of shooting on the new feature film Wild Men, I want to take a moment and talk about the past ten days filming in the woods, covering almost 90% of the script. It was an absolutely beautiful, funny, creative, fulfilling, and inspiring experience surrounded by incredible people. Every take was gold. Creatively I had the time of my life, acting every day, exploring a hysterical character with more layers than I realized, working with other great talented actors who each brought something individually distinct to the film. Physically it was intense - back to back days, hiking in the woods, never getting enough sleep, getting banged up by trees and rocks, stumbling in the pitch black of the forest, constantly barraged by all kinds of flying bugs and spider webs. Spiritually, it was right. It was a beautiful experience for which I am eternally grateful for. This city boy became a woodsman, and it was all because I have stuck to my guns all these years as an actor. I know deep down in my gut that this film is going to be something incredibly special. And that there has never been anything like it. It will be quite the ride for the audience that sees it. They will laugh, they will cry, they will laugh, they will laugh even more and have to watch the movie again to see what they missed. I am so proud of my cast and crew and grateful to have been a part of this. I am beyond thankful to my crew, who kept this intense production afloat. This movie has changed my life. And its effects are going to continue for years to come. And even though I sound sentimental, dont get it twisted. Youre going to hate me. Pack your bags, kids. Its adventure time. Dick Heffelfinger, signing out.
