Before I knew it, I was on the floor. It was a hard one. Scrubbing - TopicsExpress

Before I knew it, I was on the floor. It was a hard one. Scrubbing in my first case this morning, we though it will be a short case but it took a little above 2hours. I suddenly felt exhausted on standing, then felt faint. I informed the others on my table, dropped my needle driver and pick-up forceps, and as I took a step behind, I do not know what happened thereafter. I was rising from the floor with alot of attention. Alot of hypotheses arose: 1) "You must have not eaten this morning and were hypoglycemic". True I had not eaten, but I do not eat until 10am and it has been so for the past 3 yrs. 2) "You have not paid your new-man-tax". hahahaha, maybe, but I do not believe in superstition. 3) " It is a welcome to the OR, it happens to everyone". I have scrubbed in many cases, since August 1st and even before coming here, well maybe its a welcome to the OR since it was a senior who said so, besides, seniors do not lie, even if they do, you are forced to believe the lies, even if u are convinced with proof that he/she lied.
