Before I make my point, I must admit my guilty pleasure of listening or watching one MSNBC show, All In with Chris Hayes. I do so because he is a young, very intelligent person who brings balance to all conversations, he is willing to have people of a different pov from himself or the station on his show. However he does not allow them to spin, he asks the hard question regardless of left/right, dem or rep. So tonight there was a representative of Americans for Prosperity (The Koch Bros Conservative PAC) who claimed that the poverty level is set at $94,000 a year. really? That is absurd and no one on this earth for one second really believes that and then she went on to claim that the majority of those enrolling in Obamacare are actually people who had prior insurance. Well I would ask (as Chris did) if they are enrolling, does that not mean that they are saving money by doing so? She avoided the answer (S.O.P) and also avoided the fact that many people are gaining Medi-caid that could not before. Her objection was against the extention of the deadline (to a law she doesnt agree with). She also started the conversation talking about how she wakes up worrying about her children getting the proper healthcare, yet when questioned on what she wakes up worrying about stated that Chris doesnt know what she wakes up feeling or worried about even though she already explained that. She had no good or even worthy debate to offer, she only offered spin. I just wanted to share this, thanks for reading.
