Before Molly came here for me to foster, Jay and I had discussed - TopicsExpress

Before Molly came here for me to foster, Jay and I had discussed getting a lgd. Then we fostered Molly and wanted so bad to keep her but Jay didnt want a third dog. Im so not ready at this point But Ive discovered searching out dif dogs has kept my mind busy so today has been easier on me as long as I dont look at dogs that make me think of Josie. Now everything has changed since Josie is gone. I do and will want to get another dog when Im ready, I cant stand not having a big dog. Im a big dog person and I just love that feeling I get from walking in the woods with a big dog or laying with one. watching blaine romp in the yard with one. I miss Josie so much and Im sure when I do get a pup it will be bittersweet. So Im looking for a breed that is good with all animals and kids, loyal, wont try to kill my goats or chickens, easy to groom, isnt a barker, protective but not a guard dog, med to large, obedient but not overly intelligent (they tend to be too damn smart and stubborn), I want one that prefers to stay home and not roam and as much as it kills me I dont want a dog that looks threatning (if someone shot Josie just because of her breed, I dont want to go through that again), one that is active but not highstrung. I think thats all. Oh and Im looking for a breeder because Im not ready for one just yet. I need time to deal with the loss of Josie.
