Before Sacha Baron Cohen hit the big screen, his infamous characters made their debut on this "in your face" comedy/satire show. Cohen would often anger his guests during interviews as they did not share his sense of humor. Groups such as the Anti-Defamation League targeted the show for its "derogatory" content.
