I had some super interesting talks with good friends all artists - TopicsExpress

I had some super interesting talks with good friends all artists that I respect and love over the last weeks, and it seems there is a dilema in defining yourself and your sound. I always believed it should not be done at all. Whenever I tried tackling my horizon and make things easier to integrate into a artistic economic circle, I ditched projects, names, accounts, etc. The rinse is good, yet I always was drawn back to the stuff I love -- the only things that left where those that could have actually made some sort of money, like crowdpleasing hip hop tunes -- that fantasy is gone, danceable house music -- gone. Live Acid 90s style -- gone. Ambient music without neurotransmitters blasting -- gone. Well prepared live sets in general -- gone. Looking in the audience -- gone. Producing songs -- gone. Releasing under the same name for a period of time -- gone. Dont give a shit about what other people do -- gone. I end up in this rabbit hole, where even getting rid of the most difficult and timeconsuming container of mine -- maintaining Shalom Salon as a hub -- is absolutely impossible, because it leaves this super empty spot in my soul. I do care about this stuff, that is vaguely experimental, eclectic, based on friendships and trust into the absolutely independence of the artists contributing, no Dogma in terms of style, no genre definition, no media preference. NO GOAL! Some people wouldnt even concider my work or our work music, but something performative or entertainment for geeks or pure waste of time. Yet, I believe in on thing: there is a reason to this drawback. and its not even about giving up on all the work that has been done in the past. There must be some sort of trueness, because other things just seem not to work. thanks to anyone that supports this rather unsuccessful concept, and to all those that love the work we do (because it is not just me, i am just the one that happened to figure out how to program and upload shit to the internet and knows one or two people that every once in a while let us host some event) Self motivations: FOLLOW YOUR URGE TO EXPLORE - GO RANDOM - DONT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT SUCCESS. and... TRUST the GROOVE! IF YOU LOVE IT, DONT IGNORE IT. thanks Concierge Weetr, Bug Man, Tho Mas Prestin, Nikoslav Nachhall, @the girl I cant tag cause she blocks me, Utku Tavil, Jeong Eun Choi, He Que, Werd Pace, Pilou Fuzz, Bastian Hagedorn, David Georgos, Ashraf Raop, Anatol Atonal, Torky Tork, Otto Oscar Hernandez , Tschi-Hun Kim , and also Sun Rejoicer for enduring my sounds even if it hurts yours tastes at times, and believing in the whatever you may see. in that sense. here a piece of music that I adore for being absolutely difficult to define and consume by regular quality standards of the genre police!
