Before she passed away, Joan Rivers named three people who could not be allowed to attend her funeral. Michelle Obama is one of them. Rivers once referred to Michelle as a tranny. The other two people she banned are pop singer Adele and former talk show host Chelsea Handler. The first person she banned from the funeral was Michelle though. Rivers was always outspoken and had absolutely no use for Obama. Of course she just joined a very long list with that. Rivers revealed her persona non grata list in an interview with the Sunday Times Magazine. Besides her previous comments about Obama, she said that Ad3ele was fat and that Handler was nothing but a drunk. Rivers also said that she was trying to prepare Melissa for the day that she would pass on and how reluctant her daughter was to discuss it: “Melissa says, ‘I don’t want to hear about it, I don’t want to talk about it’, but I say it’s coming. It’s inevitable. It’s no longer an abstract thing. It’s like, God, I’m in my eighties. Nobody, when I die, is going to say, ‘How young?’ They’re going to say, ‘She had a great ride.’ Joan Rivers died after suffering cardiac arrest in her doctor’s office as he was performing routine throat surgery. Sunday’s funeral was attended by a multitude of big name stars and hundreds more paid public tributes to Rivers, who had been in show business for nearly 50 years.
