Before we all dig deep into our closets tomorrow morning looking for our favorite Royal blue jersey to start off a new season, lets address the current state of the Kansas City Chiefs and NFL free-agency. Many Chiefs fans are upset that they are not dumping $10 million dollars into unrestricted free agent WR-DeSeaun Jackson. Folks it is this simple: DeSean was suddenly released Friday by the Eagles because of his gang ties with a friend who shot a 14 year old kid. While DeSean has denied any gang affiliation, you have to believe that the Eagles arent going to drop a player of his caliber without first doing their due diligence. Yes, DeSean Jackson could indeed sign with another team and have a great 2014 season, but it is a chance that I wouldnt take. And I understand why Clark Hunt & John Dorsey wont do so either. Look no further than what happened with the New England Patriots last summer when their All-Pro tight end, Aaron Hernandez, who was always rumored to have gang ties was charged with murder. You can also bet that Clark Hunt hasnt forgot about Javon Belcher shooting his girlfriend nine times then driving to Arrowhead and shooting himself in the head in front of Scott Pioli & Romeo Crennel. We all would love the Chiefs to get the best players in free agency, but it is important to know why DeSean Jackson isnt one of them. Now with that being said, lets go out and grab WR-Miles Austin.
