Before you hang your pastor...Read this: If a pastor is young - TopicsExpress

Before you hang your pastor...Read this: If a pastor is young then he lacks experience...if he is grey-haired then he is not contemporary. If he loves his family, he is placing his family above Gods bigger family...if he has none, hes setting a bad example. If his wife sings in the choir shes being forward...if she doesnt, shes not dedicated enough. If he preaches from notes, he is not hot...if he doesnt, he is too shallow. If he spends too much time in his study, then he is neglecting his people...if he makes home visits he is up to something. If hes attentive to the poor, then hes after public approval...if he attends to the wealthy hes an opportunist. If he suggests improvements, hes a tyrant...if he doesnt, he has no vision for the church. If he uses too many practical life illustrations, then he neglects the Bible...if he doesnt use enough stories, hes unclear. If he speaks against sin then hes legalistic...if he doesnt, hes a compromiser. If he preaches for over an hour then hes a talkative...less than that, he is not loaded. If he fails to please everybody then hes hurting the church...if he tries to please everybody, he has no convictions. If he preaches offering and sacrificial giving, hes a money-grabber...if not, hes failing to develop the finances of his people. If he buys a private jet then he is pursuing worldly riches...If he doesnt own a nice shoe, his calling is questionable. If he is accessible to everyone then he is not really busy...If he cant be reach anytime then he has pride issues. Eish! When are we just gonna overlook the excesses of our spiritual leaders and just love them for setting themselves apart to be a channel of blessing to our lives? Just before you share, follow me on twitter @pastorcharlesc Our spiritual leaders, great/small, rich/broke deserve our love. They devoted their lives just to be a blessing to our lives. Love them!
