Beheading becomes a fashion!!! The Islamic States methods spread very quickly to other arenas: during the last week we hear about cases of beheading in Lebanon, Sinai (part of Egypt) and Nigeria - by the Boko Haram group. No doubt, the media - especially the social media - plays here a major role by exporting the idea of beheading from Iraq and Syria to other parts of the world. It is not new and James Foley was not the first. We already saw what Abu Musab al-Zarqawi did to Daniel Pearl, we saw what happened to the British soldier Lee Rigby in the street of London, but now - I am afraid - it becomes a fashion, acceptable, legitimate, a regular method of Jihad. The Western silence is shocking: everyone says: it is there, not here. Who cares about them?, let them kill each other... Where are the demonstrations against the beheading of Yazidis? where is the support for the Christians in Nigeria? Where are all the moderate Muslims? why dont we hear their condemnation to this fashion of beheading? The world is sleep-walking!!! if the world keeps being silent, beheading will become a fashion in our place as well!!! It will cross countries and oceans and no place will be immuned.
