Behind The Veil Day 19 Tuesday, August 2014 A TIME BOMB Memory Verse: Judges 5:2 - “Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.” Bible in one year: Acts 21:18-40 The untamed tongue is a time bomb; it can explode anytime. Just as a single bomb can destroy a whole city, one careless tongue can cause untold problem. Do you know that the tongue is highly inflammable? A little spark will occasion a mighty conflagration. Powerful bombs generally explode at the touch of a simple button. The fact that the tongue is one of the smallest parts of the human body does not reduce its impact. The size of a tongue does not reveal its destructive ability. Set watch over the tongue. You should know that to misuse the tongue is a deep sin. This should not be handled lightly. James 3:10-12; “Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessings and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and biter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? So can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.” You will determine which type of water you wish to spring out from you: fresh water or salt water. If you determine not to allow any evil to issue out of your mouth, Satan will not be able to trap you. Proverbs 4:23: “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are issues of life.” Your speech is influenced by your thoughts. Do not allow evil thoughts any access into your heart. Think good about yourself at all times. As the thoughts came, speak them out. It is very important to determine never to allow the devil to use your tongue again. The Bible says: “Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin.” You should remember always that your mouth functions like a bomb. If you use it wisely, kit can destroy the attacks of Satan in your life. It is the tongue that we use to pray, bind and loosen, so if you do not use it wisely, you may find yourself in hell.
