{Behind the Veil: Celebrant} Miranda Grange of Miranda - Wedding Celebrant / m.dzander Miranda certainly doesn’t fit the stereotype of a celebrant. She’s young, good-looking, and even sports a tattoo on her foot (the word “agape”, Greek for unconditional love). Having attended plenty of weddings, her experienced perspective reminds you to keep a big picture view of your big day: “the little things don’t matter; they help, but remember that moment when you see your lover/best friend for the first time – that’s what love is all about”. Like most good ideas, a glass of wine with friends was where the idea of becoming a celebrant found a willing couple, and six months later, she married them! A celebrant may be an unusual hobby, but for Miranda it was a natural choice, as she went to so many weddings anyway, and “…[they] are the best kinds of parties – so much love and hope for the future”. Miranda has excellent advice for brides: “Find vendors that echo what you want to achieve. Relaxed, traditional, busy, casual, all of the above is fine and you need to find people that love the vision that you have. If you want butterflies, have butterflies!
