Being a contractor has its ups and downs. I have been fortunate to have worked in some of the finest hospitals on the West Coast and in the country. I have learned a lot, had steady employment and the compensation has been outstanding. There is a huge drawback to contracting though. I was forever saying goodbye to friends I’d gotten to know and love. Today, I found out that I won’t have to say goodbye to my friends at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. I am being hired as the Epic Instructional Designer for their ER! I work with some of the most amazing people and have been in awe of the work that they do with the children entrusted to their care. To them, it’s more than a job, it’s a passion. I am so proud and happy to be becoming one of them.
