Being a spy for God is completely different from the gadget-sporting, tuxedo wearing, gun-wielding James Bond type that we are so familiar with. A spy simply means a person who secretly collects and reports information about the activities, movements, and plans of an enemy. He/she is generally working for a government or an organization. When it comes to God, the reality is that there is no bit of information that you can bring to Him that He does not already know. Yet, one step before the Hebrews could enter to their promised land, God asked them to send out a group of people to spy the land.The question then arises that if God already knew, why did He still want people to spy the land? The answer to that lies in this scripture that we have heard so many times. Proverbs 29:18 tells us that where there is no vision, people perish. 1. Know the Geography. 2. Count your Giants. 3. Hear from God. 4. Be persistent. Plan of Action God loves a man who is serious about Him. Now if you really mean business, get your paper, laptop, iPad or that paper napkin out. Jot down every bit of information about the land that God is giving into your hands. Now, act on His command and as He commands. If you are serious about God, God will take you seriously too.
