Being adopted saved my life. I forget how lucky I am to be where I am today and to have the family that I do. I am also blessed to still have my biological brother and sister in my life. I just want to say adoption is a wonderful thing. It gives the gift of a second chance to a child. It gives a place of belonging. It gives an identity to a child so they dont go through life struggling to be someone they are unsure of. It gives a child a special kind of love from a parent, sibling ,a family. For me it made me feel special. I was chosen. I never felt like I was unwanted so that is why I was given up for adoption. Whatever the reason was my adoptive family thought I was special enough to belong in the family. Adoption gives a child a place they can call home. Whoever said you cant love an adopted child like they were your own is BS. I live my life loving the heck out of my family and they do me. The love we have for each other is like any family with biological kids :) So if you plan to have kids I urge you to adopt at least one child. You give a child the gift of a second chance and so much more and in return you get an unconditional amount of love. I am a proud adoptee and I hope more people will adopt.
