Being at the camp this weekend I noticed that a black bear keeps coming to the garbage area while people are around , which is NOT normal behavior, and people seem to stand around like they are at the zoo taking pictures. Its all fun until someone gets hurt, but bears can run more than 60 kilometers an hour, and they can do it up hill, down hill or along a slope. To put that in perspective, thats 50 ft per sec - more than twice as fast as we can run. In fact, a bear can outrun a racehorse over short distances but has little endurance. They are fun to see but they can HURT someone seriously, please read the attached and spread the word. There were WAY to many kids riding their bikes up to see the bear....THIS IS NOT SAFE!!! Please make your kids aware for god sake before someone gets hurt...
