Being married is not an excuse for letting yourself deteriorate - TopicsExpress

Being married is not an excuse for letting yourself deteriorate physically. The human body is a wonderful creation and God’s great gift to us. We have a divine responsibility to take care of our bodies by eating healthy, drinking pure water, sleeping healthy and exercising regularly. Yes, aging is a natural phenomenon but we don’t have to accelerate it. You don’t have to look older than you really are. There are modest techniques that can enhance your health and beauty. If you take care of your body it will take care of you. It is not a sin to look beautiful. God made you are beautiful for a reason. Every curve, every dimple, every smile and every muscle was artistically designed by God to showcase His creative ability. You carry the image of God. (Gen 1:27) “You are fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14) Not only should you “adorn the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in Gods sight is very precious, (1 Peter 3:4) you must do our best to stay in shape and look your best, because “your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.” 1 Cor 6:19-2. Not only will this honor God, it will enhance your confidence and revolutionize your marriage.
