Being the firstborn SUCKS, because you are the guinea pig and my parents made all of their parenting mistakes on me...BUT as I got older and matured, I became grateful, because it made me stronger. I am better able to navigate through lifes hardships because I had to be tough when my parents did not make the best decisions because they were new parents! I also got to be proud because I was able to make the path easier for my younger siblings who came after me. I learned a LOT in the first year producing a national event. There were some HIGH, highs and some LOW, lows, but we are making it! Its easy to see all of the mistakes and deficiencies, but the cool thing is, we can only go UP from here! We are making some structural changes, that will make Plus USA even better. God placed this vision in my heart, and I refuse to let it die because I am a new parent and made some dumb choices, or things did not go as planned. I know my parents were probably hurt by all of my complaints and blame I placed on them...now that I am a parent, I GET IT. Some people just wont get it, and its not for them to get, because its the vision God gave to me, and as long as I learn from my mistakes, heed wise counsel, keep God first and move forward...the SKY is the limit! By October 1st, all my loose ends should be tied and its ONWARD and UPWARD for round #2!!! Im blessed and excited, because if GOD is for me, NO ONE can be against me! #PlusUSA2015
