Being willing to engage in “courageous conversations” are crucial to ones social media success. However, execute restraint by waiting 24-48 hours to ensure emotions are removed from a post and what is conveyed is delivered in a clear concise manner. The most important conversations demand VULNERABILITY – putting ones ego and ones desire for approval "on the line". That’s why people often avoid go about them in cowardly ways (hiding behind technology) or try to avoid them all together. When one risks stepping out from behind their computer screen and talking openly and candidly about sensitive or contentious issues, one is able to ADD VALUE, BUILD INFLUENCE, and EARN TRUST in ways that tiptoeing around crucial issues never can. People may not always like what one has to say, but they will always RESPECT ones willingness to speak up and share what genuinely one thinks needs to be said.
