Belize - South Dakota Status Update. We truly feel like we are running the last leg in the Amazing Race. Brittany and Maggie (her mother) called me at 4 am to say they were heading back to the Embassy to be the first in line. They just called at 9 am. They got the visa. Praise God!!! They were in a taxi on their way to a bus stop so they can get to Belize City and the international airport for her 11:45 flight. It is @ a 90 min. drive under normal circumstance, but on a Belize bus they stop for anyone on the side of the road, there are police checkpoints and the additional risks of road/bus maintenance is a possibility in any world but especially a 3rd :) Maggie is absolutely exhausted.
