Bellemy Brothers youtube/watch?v=MzdvQOXxRD4 one of their hits from the 70’s. These guys did some awesome music. Did you know that for many years during the 70’s and early 80’s they also ran a herd of Registered Brahman cattle in Florida? I never got the opportunity to visit their ranch nor do I even know how many cattle were in their herd. I know they had some good blooded cattle, if I remember correctly they had some Beville blood in them. I remember some of their ads from the 70’s and they had some pretty good cattle. It was pretty good publicity for ABBA and Florida to have such great Country singers as Breeders. I guess these guys, Jimmy Clem who did some acting, and Clayton Williams who ran for Governor of Texas were about the most famous breeders the breed ever had and they were all very good breeders. I guess there is no real meaning behind this post except to say we have had a few pretty famous people in the breed during the years when they were most famous, so the breed has gotten into the blood of a lot of good people over the years. Jimmy and Burt are still breeding good cattle. Clayton sold out before his run for office, and I’m not sure what happened to the Bellemy cattle but we have been blessed with some awesome breeders over the years, some of them even a bit famous.
