Beloved good day! I called my post today SWALLOWED UP.Frim the book of Jonas 2:7 ,When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord. You probably heard the story of Jonah and the great fish.But did you that the disobedient prophet was swallowed up not once but three times? Let me explain. First, Jonah was swallowed up by prejudice.The Ninevites were wicked and idolatrous people (Jonah 1:2).and God wanted Jonah to preach repentance to them.But Jonah wanted them to feel Gods wrath (4:2),so he boarded a ship and headed i the opposite direction(1:3). Second ,Jinah was swallowed up by the sea.A wild storm was battering the boat,so the sailors cast lost to find out whi was to blame,and the lot fell on Jonah(v.7). He said throw me into the sea(v12).As the waters engulfedhim,he sank toward certain death. Third Jonah was swallowed ip by a large fish that Gos prepared to rescue him( 1:17).Inside the fish 3 days,he confessed his sin and promjsed to obey God (2:1-9). After he was delivered, he followed Gods directive and preached judgement to Nineveh,and all the people repented(3:1-5). GOD sometimes allows us to face frightening circumstances so that we will learn to trust and obey Him.Its always best to obey the Lords right way--then we wont be swallowed up. When we walk with the Lord in the kight of His Word,what a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will,He abides with us still,and with all who will trust and obey . THE WAY OF OBEDIENCE IS THE WAY OF BLESSING!!!
