Beloved ones, It is with great joy & anticipation of a monumental event set to take place in the very near future that I write to you today! This is something I am desiring very much to be a part of, and feel the Lord would allow me to do, something that I have been praying about, planning on, preparing for, for the past nearly 2 years now. It is also something YOU could have the joy & privilege of being a great part of!!! As you all know, I have been blessed to have been a part of Gavin & Carrie Jones life & family for 2 years now, as they anticipated, planned for, and gave birth to a set of absolutely precious, adorable, MIRACLE baby quintuplets!!! My involvement with their family began months before the babies anticipated arrival as I helped to sort, inventory, and organize pile on pile on pile of clothes & baby supplies which had been generously donated for their use. I spent literally hours at their house working on organizing while Carrie was doing the mammoth job of incubating those precious babies, in order to give them the best possible chance at LIFE! The Lord had His almighty hand of protection on each of those precious miracles being knit and formed in secret, and presented Gavin & Carrie with 5 amazing preemie quintuplets on August 9, 2012. Will Edward, David Stephen, Marcie Jane, Seth Jared, and tiny Grace Elise arrived quite triumphantly in the presence of no fewer than 30 helping hands in that OR and NICU! From the biggest at 2 lb. 10 oz. to the tiniest 1 lb. 12 oz., each of the quintuplets were perfectly formed & absolutely precious! Their conception, birth, and development have been nothing short of miraculous, and today at 18 months, they are very healthy, active and quite normal walking, talking, little toddlers! We marvel, and praise the Lord daily for what He has done, and the way he has watched over this brood! All along, it has been the deep desire of Gavin & Carries heart to be able to one day return to Papua New Guinea with their 10 year old son Isaac, as well as Will, David, Marcie, Seth & Grace, to continue the work to which the Lord had called them many years earlier. Gavin is a helicopter pilot (one of only 2), who has been greatly missed & greatly needed while he has been away. It is looking very much like their prayers are being answered in a mighty way, and each of the babies has been deemed strong enough & healthy enough to permit their return to Papua New Guinea in June of this year! Traveling cross country with nearly 2 year old quintuplets via air travel would be an enormous undertaking of itself, traveling internationally covering over 9,000 miles, 25+ hours door to door quite another, and something which quite possibly has NEVER been attempted before. In order to accomplish this mind boggling, seemingly impossible, quintessential mission there will need to be a great deal of planning, and yes, several EXTRA willing & able helping hands to keep up with the needs of the babies enroute from the US to PNG. Thus the reason for this email. After praying MUCH, wanting MUCH, and working very, very hard over the past nearly 5 months to recover from my bilateral knee replacements, (which by the way, had been done when they were done, for this very reason), I feel very strongly that the Lord would allow ME be a part of helping relocate this precious family from Dallas, TX to Papua New Guinea. This journey is something I have prayed about, and longed to be a part of since BEFORE the quints arrival. In order for me to be able to be a part of this enormous undertaking, however, I will be in need of both prayer & financial support to enable me to get from here to Papua New Guinea and home again. At this point it is looking like a cost of $2,500-$3,000 would cover my round trip air travel, housing, and other travel expenses. Many of you have asked Russell and I repeatedly if there was some sort of project we would be involved in that you could have a part in, and I am happy to tell you that YES, there most definitely is! Would you prayerfully consider investing in not only my life & ministry, but the lives & ministry of Gavin & Carrie Jones and their precious family, by helping ME be a part of helping them get home to Papua New Guinea? Our current support level quite simply does NOT allow for any extra travel expenses such as these. I would be eternally greatly for your partnership & investment in this amazing undertaking.
