All my love to everyone xoxo To my dear Students and their Families… It is with a heavy heart and tremendous sorrow that I have to inform you that Studio 1 Performance Centre is no longer able to trade and will be closed for enrolments and further business in 2015. The financial pressures of owning a small business has forced our hand, and with my personal health and wellbeing now compromised from an ongoing illness, it has resulted in us making this incredibly hard decision. For ten years I have poured my heart and soul into Studio 1, nurturing each child and becoming a part of every family that has joined together with mine. We have endured sorrow and success, won and lost together, been a part of each others’ lives. Coming to this conclusion has left me heartbroken, as though I’m mourning a death so please don’t for a second think that I haven’t considered every child, every student of ours, and the impact it will have on them. We have so many extremely talented students; I want to encourage everyone to continue to progress in their dance careers. If you would like to discuss options that I think may be suitable for your child/children I can recommend the following: - Miss Maree can be contacted on 0431 797 838 for students who wish to continue their ballet training for Exams at the end of 2015. This is an excellent option for our students in Forster. - The Kerrie-Renee Dance Studio will be opening a branch of their school in Taree in 2015. Miss Kerrie and her teachers are a part of the British Ballet Organization (as we are) and hold the same values and expectations as we do. You can contact her on 65 531 206. - Or you can call me on 041 33 88 505 to discuss your child’s individual needs. Above all I want to stress that this should not be the end of your child’s development in dance. Solo students may keep their solos choreographed by myself and my teachers as long as credit is given to the choreographer where it is due and said choreography must remain intact and not changed. If I become associated with another Studio as a teacher I will be sure to let everyone know. In closing, thank you for your support, your understanding and love through the years – it’s been an incredible journey together.
