Below is a description of responsibilities of a Customer Service Specialist: I wanted to share my story of what I experienced today. I went into Pac N Save to cash in my lotto tickets. When I got to the counter there was a woman being helped (she actually worked there as a cashier). When the Customer Service person finished with her and she moved I stepped up...The customer service person continued to talk with her as she left. Then she proceeded to have a conversation with the female security guard standing near the counter COMPLETELY IGNORING ME...the security guard gives me a haters look (ladies you know the look) and goes behind the counter with the customer service clerk and ask her a question they engage in conversation for about 3-5 minutes as if I am not there. When the clerk finishes with the guard she proceeds to walk away as to leave the area...so I look at the security guard and say AM I INVISIBLE, YOU CAN YOU SEE ME?? She says oh sorry and says something to the clerk as she is leaving the area she looks at me and says to the guard oh she needs help? She comes to me says YES, I pass her the tickets and say Id like to cash these in, she takes them and starts doing her job, and pauses and says uumph the guard looking over her shoulder says how much did she win she says $77, then does the other ticket and says oh this one is $15 the guard says oh she gettin paid.(REALLY) She totals it and says thats gonna be $94 I say yes, she hands me the money and receipt I say thank you. She says OK hun. Both women African American....which for me makes it worse but my point is regardless of how you see a person if you work in customer service your job is to service the customer....I will never understand how some people envy, dislike, are jealous of other people they dont even know based on how they look....it is as bad as racism. Needless to say I did not get the service described below. When will we WAKE UP??? I was obviously in a very good place otherwise I would have asked for her manager!!!! The Customer Sales Specialist (CSS) is responsible for providing an exceptional in-store customer service experience through proactively engaging with and working to make the customer satisfied in every interaction.
