Below is a very heart warming message sent by one of the FB friend here. We hv removed her name and her daughters name. Actually Jiajia is still struggling with his school work. Lotta time needs to be invested by us for every baby step advancement he takes. It is very tiring for us the parents but the siblings laughters has given us strength. Learning to accept Jiajias difference helps us focus on his strength. By the way, we hv just received news from HKs teacher that she too need additional support. We hv noticed her messing up b and d and other letters. Its a journey we all hv to take as parents. We dont have high expectation on our kids, but what we can give is a happy childhood and hopefully that will build their characters and make them more resilient in facing their challenges in future. BM Hi BigDad/BigMom, Not sure whether you still remember me. I wrote to you in 2012 to share about my daughter, C, who is same age as Jiajia. You even mailed a limited edition t-shirt to us. I still follow the postings in the fan page. My girls are still very fond of Jiajias videos. The videos never fail to bring smiles. You have very adorable kids. I mentioned before that C is struggling with her schoolwork. I stopped working in 2013 when she became very withdrawn. I was hoping that spending more time with her will help matters. It didnt. I eventually brought her for an assessment and she is diagnosed with Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. With therapy, she is coping slightly better now. Her school teachers have been very kind and supportive. Seeing how happy Jiajia is despite being dyslexic, I know it must be the wonderful work that both of you have done as parents. I am inspired to do better this year as a SAHM, to provide the love and guidance that will make my kids happy and confident. Thank you for being such an inspiration.
