Below is an email I have just sent to a TV programme, I am hoping for a positive response. Good morning, I am not sure if this is something you would cover. I am desperate for help to highlight the fact that Facebook will not ban animal cruelty, every day thousands of us including children have pictures and videos appear in our news feed of Cats being kicked 5 ft. into the air, puppies being thrown into the river one by one, and donkeys being beaten so hard with sticks it collapses, I have reported it all on a daily basis it then goes to be analysed and I get a message saying this post has not been removed because it does not violate their community! If I was to post a racist statement removed! If I was to post a religious statement removed! Yet this morning having a picture of a cat with a crossbow bolt though its head is ok!! I cannot get to ask Facebook why they allow it as I do not have the platform. I have started a Facebook group called Ban Animal Cruelty On Facebook less than 4 days ago and we have well over a thousand members and there is also a petition with the same name in action, I can only show Facebook that people don’t want it with numbers so I am trying to recruit. In this day and age where thousands of charities , foundations and groups work tirelessly to stop animal abuse and cruelty and yet you only have to look at Facebook and its everywhere, is this what we want our children to see? Is it a healthy way to promote animal care and respect. So please if you could maybe just mention this and see if Facebook will answer why they think it is ok that would be a fantastic start to this campaign. Every grateful
