Below is my biggest reason for leaving the Jehovahs Witness cult. And Im sure its the same for many of you too. I never doubted the existence of God and I believe in Him now more than ever. I believe that He gave us beautiful minds with with which we can provide for ourselves and make the world better. But since I can remember, the Governing Body has associated higher learning with Satan and everything evil under the sun. The recording here is just one of thousands of talks given over many decades that has kept parents from supporting their kids through college. Its hard to imagine how a parent could want such a difficult future for their child by denying them the right to develop themselves academically. But thats life as a JW-Borg.
