Below is my campaigns press release for tonights primary results: Jeff Shipley Celebrates Republican Nomination in Iowa House Race Liberty-minded, young Republican nominated in House District 82 Fairfield, IA - Republican candidate for State House Jeff Shipley celebrated Tuesday night as he won the Republican nomination for District 82. It is a great honor to be the Republican Nominee. I have been meeting with Iowans all over the district since my campaign started, and theyre all looking for change. Everyone is sick of the establishment status-quo in Washington D.C. and Des Moines. Im running to be an outspoken voice for the freedom of Iowans, commented Shipley. Shipley, who is 25 years old, also hopes to inject fresh energy into the political discussion. The current political class is stale and often restricts discussion and new ideas. Young people are taken for granted in the political process, which is detrimental to Iowa because its the young folks who are leaving our state and deciding to start families elsewhere, Shipley stated. Shipley’s campaign has raised over $14,000 from over 100 donors since the campaign launched earlier this year. The Shipley for Iowa campaign has already out-raised the incumbent this cycle and presently enjoys a 3 to 1 advantage in campaign cash on hand. “This is a grassroots campaign. We have small donors chipping in what they can from all over the district, and we’re just getting started,” Shipley continued. The generosity and support from hard-working Iowans means a lot to me, without their contributions there is no way I could compete against the big money special interest groups. Jeff Shipley is a graduate of University of Iowa and assists families through financial hardship as a paralegal at the Noyes Law Office, P.C. in Fairfield. Shipley has been a Republican activist for the last seven years, and was selected to serve on the Republican Party of Iowas State Central Committee in 2012.
