Most of these people I have mailing addresses but no email address. ****************************************************************************** I’ve reserved Southern Oaks Country Club and a DJ for Saturday June 27, 2015 for our catered gathering/dinner/dancing. The website is southernoaksgolf/index.html. Do I have any volunteers to organize Saturday golfing with the club? (Like you………Rusty?) I haven’t come up with any ideas yet for Saturday daytime activities for those who aren’t going to golf but will continue to work on it & appreciate any suggestions. They will offer a full staff with a cash bar and can prepare/set up any type of buffet-styled dinner we want. Dinner will run ~$15.95 per plate. There is a La Quinta lq/en/findandbook/hotel-details.6077.html and Hampton Inn hamptoninn3.hilton/en/hotels/texas/hampton-inn-and-suites-ft-worth-burleson-FTWBRHX/about/index.html within 1.5 miles from Southern Oaks and I’ve spoken to each about block room rate discounts. Neither no-tell/motel/hotel are four star rated, but are best options within proximity to our festivities. I suggest that we select one out of the two and everyone stay at the same location. We need to book a minimum of 10 rooms to get a discount. The LaQuinta is offering us either 2 queen/king rooms for $89/night and suites (for after party-partying) for $130.50, and the Hampton Inn’s rooms will be $89 to $109/night. Everyone will book their own rooms once we decide which location. Friday night’s mixer will be at Fat Daddy’s. (The owner of Southern Oaks also owns Fat Daddy’s.) Fat Daddy’s website is fatdaddyslive/ and is located 10 miles due East of Southern Oaks. I have the contact information for both the VP/GM of Southern Oaks, and the Manager of Fat Daddy’s and hope to be able to negotiate the rates down for Southern Oaks (currently $150/hour w/2 hour minimum) and get us a good deal @ Fat Daddy’s. I don’t anticipate there to charge at Fat Daddy’s for using one of its back rooms – I’ll have to explore all our options when I speak to the manager. Also, I’m going to check into whether we can get group rates for car service/taxi/shuttle for Friday night to/from the hotel to Fat Daddy’s. I’m attaching our contact list and I’ve gotten as far as I can within the past couple weeks. Please look it over and let me know if you can assist in helping track down those that I don’t have any information for.
