Ben Mankewicz on Turner Classic Movies talked about his favorite Ron Howard movie the other day. It wasnt A Beautiful Mind, Backdraft, or any of the other blockbusters hes directed. Nope, it was 1994s The Paper, about a day in the life of a big-time tabloid. I enjoyed it too, and hadnt thought about it in years. So now Im searching! Ive never worked in newspapers, and Im not really interested in doing so (though for a time I wrote a weekly column). But I like stories set in that world!
