Benny Big Jobs has been doing a brilliant job with the moveable walls in Nargarduk - the downstairs unit. The moveable walls divide Tim’s workshop from the “unit” The idea with this space is that it can be flexible - a housing unit, a small classroom teaching space or a bigger teaching/ party space. The walls are pretty ingenious. They are on wheels, have a panel of sound proofing , then shelving – two facing the unit and one facing Tim’s workshop. Using fence bolts they lock into place, and once there you would not know it was not a wall of shelving. I am most impressed at how well the sound insulating panels work, and the ingenious skirting boards Ben has installed to hide the bolts. One space can work in so many ways. Maybe we don’t need walls at all . . . .
