Bensalem Police are investigating an assault that occurred at Struble Elementary playground, 4300 Bensalem Boulevard, at approximately 3:15 pm on July 31, 2014. The victim, a 33 year old female, stated she was approached by an unknown male subject who, after engaging her in conversation, punched her in the chest which caused her to fall to the ground. The subject proceeded to grab her by the hair and dragged her several feet before she managed to break free from his grasp and run to a nearby residence for assistance. The actor was described as a dark skinned male, possibly Middle Eastern (Indian) or Hispanic, wearing a black beanie type cap, a long sleeve white shirt and black pants. The male was also said to have had a large circular nose ring and a slight amount of facial hair. It is believed the male subject may have come from Bensalem Boulevard prior to the attack, as he was originally observed by the victim in the rear parking lot of the school. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Bensalem Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Bensalem Police Detective Division at (215) 633-3719
