#Bermuda ISLAND A Bermuda Short: Established in 1612, the Old Towne of St. George was the first permanent English settlement in Bermuda -- and is considered the third oldest such community in the Western Hemisphere. The town and its environs are routinely hailed for having gorgeous ruins and a fascinating history according to visitor comments on Tripadvisor -- and its hard to disagree.
