Bernabéu Bites January 13th, 2015: The Ballon DOr sweet hangover After winning his third FIFA Ballon D’Or, Cristiano Ronaldo surprised all the audience with his already classic shout. The Spanish newspaper Marca recall today how and when it was originated. But Cristiano Ronaldo was not the only madridista who got an award yesterday. Like him, Sergio Ramos and Toni Kroos made it into the FIFA FIFPro World XI 2014 and James Rodríguez got the Puskas award for the best goal in 2014. Although FIFA had planned to devote some minutes of the Ballon D’Or gala to the memory of Alfredo Di Stéfano, it finally did not happen. However, UEFA have released today a beautiful video comparing him to the man who could be named his successor in Real Madrid’s history. The Bernabéu is ready to help Real Madrid to make the miracle and move on to the Copa del Rey quarterfinals.
