Best April Fools prank played on me: 1991 Vicki Hanner worked in my office. She locked up the office and left me a note saying Had to go, family emergency. Papers everywhere in the office. Old answering machine is full. I respond to the messages, clean up, and try to call Vicki at home. As soon as her phone rings, my office phone rings so I hang up, answer the office phone, nobodys there. Try again, same thing, phone in office rings. Took several tries before I figured out she had forwarded her home phone to the office. FINALLY she walks in after having coffee across the street and says APRIL FOOLS! The following year I called her at 5 am and told her there was a terrible fire and our building burnt to the ground. We had no jobs. I felt a lot better. Yes, she did come to work that day. Whew!
