Best. Feeling. EVER. There is a tiny art center in Rosemount MN which began operating within the past three years. They have a limited curriculum: watercolor, painting, etc. Ive been trying to figure out what to do with my clay studio now that Ive retired as an artist. Big art centers....piece meal at best. Theyll take this, theyll take that. They dont want this, they dont want that. So youve still got a mess to deal with. So I called the Rosemount Fine Arts Council....and told them they could have my ENTIRE clay studio (kiln, kiln furniture, equipment, tools, glazes, shelving, chemicals for glazing, fire tongs, gloves, propane tanks, etc. etc.). And they are just ecstatic! The city of Rosemount is building a two story art center for them and now they can fill it with my ceramics studio and initiate a ceramics program. They are just so excited. Me? Happy happy joy joy. It always gladdens my heart to do something nice for other people. And THEY are doing something nice for me.
