Best memories from Rakis: -The EH (Erra and I) managed to snag a kingdom relic (Ankh) within the first two hours of being on site in a bandit game. We NPCed as members of the bandit caravan, outsmarted 10 five-person teams and the reeve - twice. First round, we used a decoy chest that even the reeve thought was legit. Second round saw a calm Sutra walk the edge of the game boundary, with game chest in hand - calmly placing it at the reeves feet. GAME! -We met a slew of cool folks (Wilson, Brotato, Kai) easily come to mind), who made the event that much more memorable. We even had a few extra hands at the shop keep us company and lent a hand in daily business. -The S+B on Thursday night allowed us to share craftsy tales, and I got to meet Petra, belted family to Nighty. -Trading for fire starters allowed us to travel around and meet super helpful folks - thanks Jade! -Having an amazing turn out at The Prestige all weekend long. Prepaid orders on sword/tankard holders were fun to crank out. -The dragon prop during the maze game is one for the books. -Sir Quiets knighting - Huzzah! -Spicy Chilli is spicy! -Sir Avatar and his new squire. -Seeing so many familiar faces (EHers) -Meeting Kord -The hailstorm that rocked Rakis, but didnt defeat it. -Getting to see/hear Saturday night bardic. -Midnight bacon. -Assassin game and only dying twice. -Bartering for items at the shop during quests. Example: whole cord of firewood for hints on who had some moon sugar. Not too shabby. -Sharing a full honey moon with Erra, last seen about 100yrs ago. -Inspiring and getting inspired by new and old folks in the game. -Not falling for the archmages bluff about sicing his legion of minions on this law-abiding Paladin. -Making it back and fro the event, safe and sound with minimal scrapes and bruises.
