Transfer to your hotel for leisure. Overnight in Saigon. Day 2: Hanoi - HaTay - Hanoi In the morning, drive to Hathai village to visit some farms of pig, duck, fish, buffalo and rice. Here Thai will share their experience on running the farm in Vietnam. Today, our agriculture expert will introduce the model of VAC( V = garden, A = pond, C = coop for poultry/pig/crocodile). After the farm, you can visit local wet market to find out local agriculture products made in the village. Then, detour the village and visit some really interesting local families making votive products for the ancestors. You will see paper boats, suits, clothes, horses, shoes….. From here, drive 5km to a biggest wet wholesale market to see all kinds of fruits, vegetable and food before they are being transferred to Hanoi. After the market, continue visiting a vegetable planting village. Here, Mr. Thai – the experienced expert on agriculture will tell you about the fruit & vegetable industry and how to distinguish Vietnamese fruits, food with Chinese ones. Finish today farm tour with transfer to the train station for night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train. Day 3: Lao Cai - Sapa 05.30 Arrive to Lao Cai train station, transfer to Sapa. The whole area is spectacular, as Sapa lies in a valley surrounded by paddy fields in a variety of shades of green, but is overlooked by Vietnam’s highest mountain - Mount Fansipan. Breakfast in local restaurant or hotel in Sapa. Visit the Church and Sapa maket in town. Lunch. Check in the hotel around 13.00 or 14.00. Walking to visit Cat Cat village in the afternoon. Overnight in Sapa. Day 4: Sapa - Salmon, Sturgen Research Centre - Chayote fruit farm Morning: Drive to Heaven gate area – this the border between Lao Cai province and Lai Chau province with a beautiful scenery. Visit Salmon and sturgen fish research centre and vegetable farms. Return to the town at noon. Afternoon: Walking tour to the hill tribe villages of Lao Chai and Tavan, home of The Hmong and Dzay minority people living in a stunning valley of terraced rice field - highlight of all Vietnam eco tours. Overnight in Sapa town. Day 5: Sapa – Tea Plantation - Hanoi Free and relax in the morning. After lunch, drive 1.5 hour to Tea plantation, Mr. Thai will introduce Vietnamese tea industry. How Vietnamese farmers make tea and export tea. Drive back to Laocai. Visit Vietnamese – Chinese bodergate. Take night train back to Hanoi Day 6: Hanoi - Halong bay cruise 05.00: Arrive in Hanoi. Transfer to visit Long Bien whole sale fruit and vegetable market or Quang Ba flower market. After breakfast at local restaurant. Depart to Halong, 180 km east of Hanoi. Ha long bay is listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. 12.00: After boarding your Halong bay cruise, enjoy the picturesque bay of 3,000 limestone islands dotted with caves and grottoes. Climb on the island to explore the cave. Dinner and Overnight on board. Note: if we take a private boat, we can visit a floating fishing village and a pearl farm. Day 7: Halong bay tour - Hanoi Contact Mr. John Fish to see how he & group enjoyed their farm tour: Morning cruise around the other side of Halong bay and explore the quite and beautiful area of the bay. On the way back, visit local vegetable farms. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 8: Hanoi Departure Morning free until transfer to the airport for flight home.
